The NIHR are seeking to appoint members of the public for NIHR Public Committee Membership

Why we want you

You do not need to have a scientific background to help shape research.  We are looking for people from all backgrounds who are able to use their own experiences to improve the research we wish to fund.

We are looking for members of the public who have a broad interest in and knowledge of health, social care and/or actions to improve public health and address health inequalities.

The NIHR is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive culture, as outlined in our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) strategy 2022-2027. We want everyone to realise their full potential and make a positive contribution. We encourage applications from people from all backgrounds and communities. We are committed to having committees that are made up of diverse skills and experiences. Find out more about EDI at NIHR.

We will endeavour to make adjustments to remove barriers to this post in the application / interview process. If you have any access needs or require any support throughout the application process, please contact us at publicrecruitment@nihr.ac.uk. If appointed, we will also work with you to identify reasonable adjustments to carry out the role.

The majority of membership is open to people from across the United Kingdom.
