This competition briefing event is organised by Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) on behalf of Innovate UK and the Office for Life Sciences.
The Office for Life Sciences (OLS) in partnership with Innovate UK is working to support developers of innovative medical devices, diagnostics and regulated digital health products to evaluate their products in a real-world clinical setting. Funding is being made available through a series of competitions that will run over the next 2 years. The first round of the competition was run in early 2018.
The second round of the competition ‘Support for SMEs to evaluate innovative medical technologies competition’ opens on 2 July. Up to £1.5m funding is available to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) generate an evidence base that will enable the evaluation of products that address priorities areas for NHS England. This support is intended to allow companies to collect and analyse clinical performance and cost effectiveness data within an NHS setting.
This briefing event will provide an overview of the second funding competition and the application process. The event will also provide an opportunity to hear from organisations that can assist your projects, including the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence.
